Quintessential Magazine - The letter C from Chanel archives

This is absolutely no secret to anyone who knows me, but for those who don’t… I’m a serious magazine enthusiast. Now that many are available online / in digital form my enthusiasm knows no physical boundaries. Many magazines however, are print issues shoe-horned into the digital environment. So I was all kinds of thrilled when I discovered Quintessential magazine – an Australian mag of the same calibre as its printed sisters, but made solely to be enjoyed digitally.

It’s absolutely free to subscribe, so why you wouldn’t is totally beyond me, but if you want a sneak peek or just need a little more convincing, here’s an extract from their latest issue (edition four).

Leanne Carter-Taylor, the owner and founder of quintessential duckeggBLUE, knows her clientele – and invited me to view a giant letter ‘C’ that she had reclaimed. Of course I purchased it – my name starts with ‘C’, and it is a piece of history from the famous House of Chanel. The letter featured in the short film, No. 5 the Film, made by Australian director, screenwriter and producer Baz Luhrmann and starring Nicole Kidman and Chanel’s iconic No. 5 perfume. You never know what Leanne may find, she always manages to source unique and interesting one-offs …
