Recipe: Choc Banana Superfood Smoothie

It’s true; most of us want to eat better, exercise more and generally be healthier. The most common barrrier to making this happen? Lack of time.

Whilst we can’t give you more hours in the day, we can let you in on a little shortcut to a smug-worthy diet – superfoods. These high-nutrient-per-kilojoule ingredients are so¬†packed with healthful benefits so you need to eat a lot less than you’d expect to get the value.

Here’s our recipe for a quick and ultra-tasty superfood smoothie that’s so simple you can make it on a weekday morning.

  • One banana, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon chlorella powder
  • 1 heaped teaspoon cacao powder
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (we love Almond Breeze)

Stick it all in a blender or bar mixer and blend until it’s as smooth as you’d like. If you prefer a thick smoothie, try adding soaked chia seeds or slippery elm bark powder to the mix.
