If you’re a person of the snow persuasion, you’ll probably agree it’s fair to say that the Australian snow situation whilst great, probably isn’t the world’s best example. What it is however, is amongst the most fun and with the week-long series of events known as Clicquot in the Snow, it’s definitely the most luxe.
From Monday 29th July to Sunday 4th August 2013, Thredbo is again playing host to utterly luxe French champagne label Veuve Clicquot as they turn the town yellow. If like us your experience of the Australian snow season has typically been road trips with a carful of friends, dodgy accommodation and even dodgier meals, it’s time to turn it up a notch and experience the snow the Clicquot way.
There are many events across the week, both on and off the snow (full calendar here) but to put things into perspective, we’re talking croquet in the snow, high tea at Eagle’s Nest, a picnic hosted by The Denman Hotel and Spa, degustation dinners and of course… champagne brunch.
Happily, these events aren’t invitation only. Tickets to most events during Clicquot in the Snow are available here – prices start at $75.00 AUD per person. They also have a series of accommodation package options that include Clicquot in the Snow events, starting at $208.00 AUD per person per night.
