The Langham Sydney Dog Friendly

4 Gorgeous Pro-Pet Australian Hotels

Resident canine Aston has been pestering us for a weekend getaway of late so we thought we’d do a bit of a wrap up of Australian hotels that are welcoming to our friend of the furry persuasion. Now it’s been a long-held belief amongst the TLD team that  high-end hotels which cater to dogs was a rather European thing so we were pretty delighted to discover that there are in fact a number of them in Australia. We’d love to see more quality hotels offering this option as we’re sure you’ll agree that just because you’re holidaying with your pup, it doesn’t mean you’re looking to compromise on your standards. Without further ado…

Pet-Friendly rooms at Diamant Hotel Sydney
Diamant Hotel, Kings Cross (NSW)
A chic urban hotel in the heart of Sydney action (it’s located just behind the famous neon Coca Cola sign in Kings Cross), you’ll love it as much as your pup.

Dog friendly rooms: Courtyard Room (only 8 available)
Extra charge for pets: no
Room rate: from $264.00 AUD
Aston says: I like that there’s a courtyard so I can sunbake and get some air. Staying inside all the time in strange places stresses me out a bit!

Pet-Friendly Waterside King Room at Sebel Pier One Sydney

Sebel Pier One, Sydney (NSW)
An uber glam hotel atop one of Sydney’s greatest treasures; the harbour.

Dog friendly rooms: Pets can stay in the Heritage King Rooms and the Waterside King Rooms on the ground floor. Alternatively, they can stay in their own dedicated rooms complete with a canine room service menu.
Extra charge for pets: no
Room rate: from $385.00 AUD (special pet-friendly package currently available including breakfast!)
Aston says: I like the idea of a trampoline bed (is it bouncy?!) but I’d hope my humans book a room on the ground floor as they don’t allow tail toters upstairs.

The Langham Sydney Dog Bed

The Langham, Darling Harbour (NSW)

Extra charge for pets: $70.00 AUD per night
Room rate: from $390.00 AUD per night
Aston says: Those signature beds look pretty la-di-da but I seriously want to sample the beef steak with chunky vegetables on the special room service menu!
